FAQ
FOR FAMILIES
Is ARUGA a medical or social home care service?
No.
ARUGA is not a medical or social care service, but in-home assistance provided by experienced, trained caregivers from the Philippines. Our caregivers help families with everyday routines - caring for children, accompanying seniors, assisting in the household, supervision, and emotional support in daily life.
They do not provide medical procedures or professional nursing care.
How much does the service cost?
We'll be happy to send you a personalized price offer by email after an initial consultation.
Simply contact us via the form or at info@aruga.cz
What services can ARUGA caregivers provide?
Our caregivers assist with the care of children, seniors, or adult family members who need daily support. This may include:
-
Supervision of a child or senior
-
Assistance with hygiene, dressing, and mobility
-
Meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry
-
Accompaniment to the doctor or for a walk
-
Companionship and communication in a home environment
How long does a caregiver stay with the family?
It depends on the family's needs – however, it is a long-term cooperation. The contract is typically agreed for 1–2 years.
In case of dissatisfaction or a change in circumstances, ARUGA will arrange a replacement caregiver so that the care can continue smoothly.
How does the selection process work?
After an initial consultation, we will introduce you to 2–3 suitable candidates from our network. Each caregiver has her own video presentation and résumé.
The family can arrange an online interview with the candidates and choose the one who best fits their needs.
How does ARUGA ensure the quality of care?
The quality of our services is based primarily on the experience and professionalism of our caregivers, who are carefully selected. Each caregiver has at least 2 years of experience in childcare, elderly care, or household management, often gained in other EU countries.
After joining the program, every caregiver completes training directly in the Czech Republic, which includes:
-
First Aid course
-
Geriatric or childcare training
-
Cultural and legal orientation
-
ARUGA Ethical Code
ARUGA then provides regular supervision and quality evaluation, including:
-
First check after 1 month
-
Follow-up evaluations after 3 and 6 months
-
Annual quality audit conducted by an external consultant
In addition to professional training, we emphasize kindness, empathy, and communication, because these are the values that make ARUGA's care more than just a job.
FOR CAREGIVERS
Is ARUGA a medical or social home care service?
Yes, but only if you already hold a valid work permit or visa from another European Union member country and have been working there for at least 2 years (or are close to completing your second year of residence). This status allows you to work legally in the Czech Republic without going through a lengthy visa process.
If you meet this requirement, ARUGA will assist you with all administrative steps, including the transfer of your work permit and preparation of the necessary documents, to make your transition as smooth as possible.
How much can I earn?
Your salary depends on the specific requirements of the family and the complexity of the work, and is determined individually during the job selection process.
In addition, caregivers receive:
-
a performance bonus (monthly),
-
a loyalty bonus after 12 months of cooperation,
-
and a referral bonus for recommending a new colleague.
Meals during the day and accommodation are always free, covered by the host family where the caregiver works.
All salaries are paid legally with full taxes, insurance, and a proper employment contract in accordance with Czech labor law.
Does ARUGA provide accommodation?
Yes.
In most cases, caregivers live directly in the family's home where they provide care (so-called "live-in care"). In other types of arrangements, the agency helps find suitable and safe accommodation nearby the family.
How long does it take before I can start working?
Usually 3–4 months after the initial interview.
This time includes family selection, contract signing, training, and preparation of all administrative documents.
What does the insurance cover?
ARUGA provides comprehensive liability insurance covering injuries, property damage, and other unexpected situations that may occur during work. It also includes health insurance and paid sick leave in accordance with Czech labor regulations.
Do you provide training or certification?
Yes.
Every caregiver completes training before starting work in the Czech Republic.
The program includes:
First Aid course
-
Geriatric or childcare training
-
Cultural and legal orientation
-
ARUGA Standard of Care certification
Will I receive support after starting with the family?
Yes.
ARUGA stays in close contact with every caregiver through online consultations, personal visits, and regular evaluations after the 1st, 3rd, and 6th month.
You can always reach out to our coordinator, who will help you with any situation or concern.
Why should I join ARUGA?
Because ARUGA offers fair conditions, stability, and a human approach.
You'll gain legal employment, guaranteed pay, quality training, insurance, and ongoing support and become part of a community that truly values care from the heart.
